Worked, not illustrated

Every figure on this site is computed, not drawn.

The scatter below is 60 simulated observations with a least-squares line fitted in your browser. The coefficients update because they are real, not typeset.

Live · resamples every 7sŷ = a + bx

Computed live · r and R² derive from the plotted points.

A line through a cloud is a claim, and claims have assumptions.

Five of them, in fact — linearity, independence of residuals, homoscedasticity, normality of residuals, and no serious multicollinearity. Most rejected chapters fail on the two nobody checks.

Dashed = hypothesised but non-significant. Full mediation is a claim about the direct path, not about the size of the indirect one.

The conventions are the content.

Solid arrow, dashed arrow, standardised coefficient, bootstrap interval — a reviewer reads a path diagram in three seconds and knows whether you understand your own model. Getting the notation right is not cosmetic.

  • Measurement model validated before any structural path
  • Bootstrapped intervals, never the Sobel test alone
  • Fit indices reported together, not cherry-picked

Overlapping intervals between the second and third groups mean the omnibus test is not the end of the story — run the post-hoc.

Work out your sample size before your supervisor asks.

Cochran's formula with a finite population correction — the calculation most survey-based theses need, and the one committees query most often.

Your total sampling frame. Keep it large if the population is effectively unlimited.

±5% is conventional in management and social science. Tighter margins raise the sample steeply.

Used to work out how many people you actually need to approach.

357 completed responses needed

Distribute approximately 510 questionnaires at a 70% response rate. Assumes maximum variability (p = 0.5) and simple random sampling.

Written the way a supervisor would explain it at nine in the evening.

Marginalia · what examiners ask

"Why this sampling technique and not another?" is the single most common reason a proposal comes back. The answer has to connect your population, your access, and your analysis — not just name a technique.

Analysis of covariance adjusts group means for a covariate measured before the intervention, so the comparison is made as though every participant started from the same baseline. It answers a narrower question than ANOVA, and it buys that precision with an extra assumption most write-ups skip.

Report it as F(2, 146) = 8.31, p < .001, partial η² = .10, and give the adjusted means beside the observed ones — a reviewer who sees only observed means will assume the covariate did no work.

Why researchers trust PhDSurat

Analytical frameworks from two-dimensional comparisons to complex multidimensional models — including longitudinal, hierarchical and advanced statistical modelling where the design genuinely calls for it. We will also tell you when a simpler method answers your question better.

Scientific quality framework

Every project passes the same ten gates.

Not a promise — a process. Each gate has an owner, a check, and a record. Nothing is released until all ten are signed.

    Complete research ecosystem

Fifteen services. One integrated platform. One point of contact.

Most scholars assemble their support from four or five disconnected people. Everything below shares one project record, one secure file store, and one expert who knows your study.

Hover or drag across the network to explore it.

    Expert & professional support

      The PhDSurat promise

Scientifically rigorous, technically accurate, ethically responsible, professionally managed. Every project is approached with precision, confidentiality, and one measure of success: work you can confidently present, defend and publish.

Original analytical work only. We build the method and the analysis with you — we do not write chapters or papers for submission, and every project carries an integrity declaration signed by you and your assigned expert.

      Questions scholars ask first

      Straight answers.

Do you write theses or research papers?

PhDSurat provides expert research guidance and academic support throughout the research process. We help researchers strengthen their study design, methodology, data analysis, interpretation, publication readiness, and academic presentation. Every project follows our Research Integrity Framework, with documented quality assurance and expert review to support high-quality, scientifically sound research.

Which statistical software do you support?

SPSS, AMOS, SmartPLS, R, Python, Jamovi, JASP, Stata and Excel for quantitative work, and NVivo, MAXQDA and ATLAS.ti for qualitative analysis. We'll also tell you when a simpler tool would do the same job — plenty of theses reach for AMOS when a regression would answer the question.

Can you help with my university's specific thesis format?

Yes. We maintain verified thesis format and PhD regulation summaries for Gujarat universities — VNSGU Surat, GTU, Gujarat University, MSU Baroda and more — each linked to the official ordinance and stamped with the date we last checked it. If your university isn't listed, send us the ordinance and we'll add it.

Are the free research tools really free?

Yes, with no account needed for the sample size calculator, statistical test selector, citation generator and APA formatter. A free account lets you save results and raises the daily limit on the AI-assisted tools.

      How quickly can you start?

A scoping call is usually available within three working days. Analysis projects typically run three to six weeks depending on the design; proposal and methodology work runs four to eight weeks. If a deadline isn't achievable, we'll say so on the call rather than after you've paid.

      Talk to a person

Four ways to reach us. All of them end at a researcher, not a call centre.

Bring your research question, your dataset problem, or the paragraph your supervisor sent back. Twenty minutes is usually enough to tell you what your study actually needs.

Mon–Sat, 10:00–19:00 IST · Based in Surat, Gujarat · On-site consultation across Gujarat, online anywhere in India, and internationally by video across time zones. Calls run on Google Meet or Zoom — tell us which you prefer when you book.

Bring your research question. We'll tell you what it actually needs.

Twenty minutes with someone who has supervised this before. Come with your topic, your data situation, or just the part you're stuck on.
